Lambert Hitchcock, an American furniture manufacturer, was famous for designing and mass-producing the Hitchcock chair in the 19th century. These chairs usually have black, brownish black or dark green colors. Hitchcock chair was based on a Sheraton style and can be recognized by characteristic rectilinear silhouette, round legs and Neoclassical motifs.
